  • Summer is coming, and if that's not enough good news for you, BPL's Central Library is hosting a Block Party to get it started right. On Thursday, June 4, come to sign up for their summer reading program and a library card, and stay for the free entertainment all day long, including live performances by Care Bears on Fire and a special appearance by Brooklyn's own teen pop star, Lil Mama. This kid-friendly event also features face painting, hopscotch, eco-friendly arts and crafts by Habana Outpost, balloon sculptures, and more!

Flatbush Children's Art Marathon - Is your child a budding Matisse or Da Vinci? On June 14th, visit the gallery with your emerging artist any time between 11 am and 6 pm. In about an hour's time, they can create their very own addition to our next art exhibit, BROOKLYN: THROUGH A CHILD'S EYES.
