Barbara Ensor, a contributor to Hip Slope Mama, has sent the following invitation to all HSM readers and Brooklyn neighbors. We hope to see some of you there!
Please come to a party to celebrate my new book and art exhibit----both called Thumbelina, Tiny Runaway Bride---on Saturday November 8th from 6 to 9 pm at the Old Stone House in Park Slope. Children are warmly welcomed, but it's not a children's event per se.
With any luck we won't be counting chads and can also raise our glasses to a new president-elect!
If you can't make it don't panic, the exhibit stays up through the end of December. For more about that, including the hours and some examples of art on display go my website, www.BarbaraEnsor.com and click on "What's Up." (As the week progresses still more information, including pictures and prices will go up on the site under the banner "Gallery.")
The Old Stone House, a reconstructed Dutch farmhouse, is located in Park Slope Brooklyn, on Fifth Ave (in J.J. Byrne Park) between 3rd and 4th Street. For directions go to www.theoldstonehouse.org See you Saturday! Bring your friends!
