Stroller Valet at the Prospect Park Y.M.C.A.!

Park Slope moms should make sure to check out this post on the New York Times’ City Room blog about the unofficial ‘stroller valet’ at the Prospect Park Y.M.C.A.

The article notes, "Joe Caraballo, the stroller valet at the Prospect Park Y.M.C.A., parks up to 75 strollers a day for the overburdened parents and toddlers of Park Slope." According to Curbed.com, Joe works in the Y's maintenance department and doesn't take tips. Most moms would agree with me that this is a great service in the neighborhood that truly warrants a nice tip. This particular Y.M.C.A is getting more & more customer friendly. Be sure to stop by the Prospect Park YMCA (located on 9th St., betw. 5th & 6th ave). Visit the website: www.ymcanyc.org to find out about the adult fitness, youth programs and early development programs. They even have a Child Watch program if you need someone to look after your child while you workout! Your child will enjoy creative play in a fun and safe environment with responsible Prospect Park YMCA staff members. Child Watch is available to members for a two-hour period per day during the hours of:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
