Someone wrote the following comment on The Huffungton Post after watching one of the funniest SNL sketches, "I finally figured out why McCain picked Palin--- he wanted to see Tina Fey back on SNL!" Click here to view see the complete, hilarious sketch.
"Former cast member Tina Fey, now the star of "30 Rock," returned to Saturday Night Live to play Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for the premiere of the show's new season. Fey and Amy Poehler opened the show with a joint appearance as Palin and Hillary Clinton. The two politicians addressed the ugly issue of sexism in the campaign."
When things get so politically haywire that millions of die-hard feminists end up terrified at the idea of a woman in the White House, you really do have to laugh at the absurdity of it all to keep from crying. I can't stop wondering how we ended up in this predicament. How did Sarah Palin become a symbol of women's empowerment when in fact so much of what she stands for would actually limit women's rights? Are Americans really such zombie feminists that we are falling for Sarah Palin as a viable Vice President? Should Obama have picked Clinton as VP to counter the Palin effect or would that really have made a difference? What are your thoughts on this?
