Good Advice for Mom-Based Businesses

These days being a mom means so many different things. You can stay at home, you can go to work, or you can have the best of both worlds by starting your own mom-based business right at home. If you have or want to start your own mom-based business, you need to do your research first in order to achieve the kind of success you and your family deserves.

Today, more American women start small-businesses than men. There are nearly 27 million small businesses in the United States and out of these more than one third are owned by women. In addition, new women-owned businesses are increasing at twice the rate of new male-owned businesses. However, only 4 percent of women-run businesses make more than $500,000 per year compared to 11 percent of men-run businesses.

So, in order to turn your new business into a successful one, you need advice from other moms and women who are lucky enough to be one of those 4 percent. Check out the video below from www.AlphaMom.com of Erica Lyon, Founder and Director of New York based business www.Realbirth.com, a childbirth education and postpartum support center. In the video Lyon gives some advice about starting a mom-based business. Go to www.AlphaMom.com to check out other videos, articles, and posts related to everything motherhood, business, and more.
